I had the joy of joining Dachshund Games’ Federleicht right from the very first concept sketch – and it quickly became a true passion project. The story follows Paule, a brightly colored Potoo bird who’s fallen from his nest and now has to reorganize his precious feather collection.

All the illustrations were created in Procreate, following the client’s wish for a vibrant watercolor look. I paid special attention to the shape and silhouette of each card element to ensure they’d also work beautifully as small-scale icons. The unique art style, bold use of color, and Paule’s irresistibly cute design give the game a truly distinctive visual identity – something that playtesters were quick to pick up on and praise.

Federleicht has since been translated and licensed in both English and Chinese markets.

Thanks to the creative freedom I was given and the super collaborative vibe with Dachshund Games, working on this project was a total joy – and I think that energy really shines through in the final product.
